Furniture

Jonathan found a fantastic deal on some used furniture on this website he frequents.  We paid $50 for a dresser, nite stand, and mirror.  I love the little set, but it is proving to be a bit troubling as you will see below.

This is what the furniture looked like when we got it.  I kind of has an antique white color to it.  The plan is to paint it high gloss white and spray paint the pulls a brushed nickel. 

Dave came over and helped Jonathan paint them. 

Whether it was due to the cold or the wind, the paint didn't take. 

The paint actually started flaking off the top of this nite stand.

We have 2 more plans to try before we give up.  1) Try another coat this weekend when it is a bit warmer.  2) Try to spray paint on top of the paint to see if it will stick.  Hopefully, something will work, because I really do love this set.

At least the furniture pulls came out looking good.
